Sgraffito Pottery Workshop
Temecula: Saturday, July 5th
Menifee: Thursday, July 10th
Time: 6-8:30 pm
Ages: 14+ yrs
In our workshops we will give instruction on techniques but you decide how you want to make your piece! he technique called sgraffito comes from the Italian word, graffiare- “to scratch”. We’ll build up a thick layer of glaze and then, using a sharp tool, carve away layers to reveal your design. You can trace from one our designs or create your own. This technique is awesome because it typically allows for a more detailed design than painting alone and you can see your work coming to life with each mark.
*please note that pottery workshops are $10 + pottery. You will pay for your pottery at the time of your class.
Pieces will be fired and ready for pick up a week after class.
